Considering that his late father-in-law Rajesh Khanna’s partner Anita Advani was one of the participants, his presence set tongues wagging. The star and Anita have been involved in a legal tussle after the demise of Rajesh Khanna.

Says a source, “It was made sure that Anita and Akshay’s paths did not cross on the sets in Lonavla. He was well aware that she is on the show but that subject was not discussed.” Anita was the last contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house.

Akshay came somewhere in the middle to promote his film and was present on the stage when telly actor Kushal Tandon and producer-actor Rajat Rawail made their entry into the house. Adds the source, “Akshay has preferred to keep mum about the Anita episode. Though the star has been associated with the channel as he hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi, he was not particularly keen to dissuade them or the producers from including Anita in the house.”

When Aamir had pulled strings
During the second season of Bigg Boss in 2008, Aamir Khan’s brother Faisal was one of the selected contestants but was dropped at the last minute. It was speculated that he would talk about Aamir and their strained relations. Faisal had alleged that he was dropped under pressure from his big brother. As the channel Colors (a joint venture between Viacom and Network 18) had Vandana Malik, mother of Avantika (Imran Khan’s wife) as a bigwig, it was said Aamir could pull strings.u00a0
