Badshah recently attended the reality show, Superstar Singer to promote his upcoming film, Khandaani Shafakhaana. The film also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Varun Sharma. The rapper was there at the show to entertain and encourage the participants. The show is a platform for aspiring and emerging singers.

Badshah is known for his effervescent style quotient. He was seen in a quirky avatar on Sony Entertainment Television's kids' reality show. This show is judged by eminent singers and composers- Alka Yagnik, Javed Ali and Himesh Reshammiya. Superstar Singer was a hit amongst the viewers and it is back with another powerful packaged performance on this weekend.
In the upcoming episode this weekend, Mohd. Fazil - a 13-year-old contestant from Jaipur and 7-year-old contestant Thanu Khan from Barmar will set the stage on fire with their performances. They'll be crooning on some popular tracks of Badshah's Kala Chashma and Selfie le le re. While watching the performance, Badshah couldn't control his excitement and dancing legs and joined the kids to have a rap 'jugalabandi'.
Speaking about the contestants' performance, Badshah said, "It's very tough to be on the stage and sing in front of eminent judges when the entire nation is watching." He further added that contestants have an another level of energy and enthusiasm in them. In response, Thanu continued, "I sing with all my heart when I am on the stage". Badshah even mentioned that he is Salman Ali's huge fan. He admires him for his style of singing. He urged Thanu to acquire his style and learn as much as he can from Salman Ali.
Jay Bhanushali, who hosts the show is expecting his first child with wife Mahhi Vij. For which, he is learning lullabies from captains Jyotica Tangri, Sachin Valmiki, Nitin Kumar, and Salman Ali. Revealing about his mission Jay said, "It is a fascinating feeling to be a parent all over again and it is even more thrilling because this is our first kid together. I want to help Mahi in whatever ways possible. I would want Mahi to take complete care of herself and our baby, so to help her not missing out on her sleep later in the months. I am learning lullabies and practicing it daily. Thanks to my new show Superstar Singer where I have got opportunity to learn from the best in the business. It would be great If I am able to take responsibility of calming our baby in the middle of the night.."
