In a bid to make her brainchild — the 'Box Cricket League' featuring telly actors — more viable, Ekta Kapoor has laid down certain diktats for its upcoming season. We hear the producer wants only prominent faces of television in the playing teams. She had earlier incorporated a clause in the actors' contracts, making it compulsory for them to take part in the tournament.

Says a source, "Ekta wants TV's biggest names to be part of the league. Her mandate says that all lead actors of her shows be included in the various teams. The playing XI should have at least seven faces, who are lead actors with 250 episodes or more to their credit. The rest of the team will consist of actors who have featured in 500 episodes of various shows over the years."
Adds the source, "The teams and players are being selected carefully. The sole objective is quality control."

The tourney, which will enter its third season, was telecast on a Hindi entertainment channel last year. But this time, a rival channel has clinched the deal.
Anand Mishra, co-owner of Box Cricket League, says, "We want to ensure that all the top TV talent are part of it. A clause has been added in Balaji actors' contracts to ensure faces associated with our shows get showcased in the league to make it attractive."
Confirming the story, Ekta says, "Yes, I have made changes to the league this year to make it bigger."
Among the actors slated to join the league are Mouni Roy, Tina Dutta, Divyanka Tripathi, Arjun Bijlani and Adaa Khan among others.
