Ghulaam had zeroed in on actor Ekta Kaul to headline the thriller, which depicts the pitiful condition of women in Berhampur. The show, which kicked off in January, had come under the spotlight for the apparent tiff between the then lead actors, Vikas Manaktala and Niti Taylor, and Kaul's entry, it was speculated, would mark the end of the latter's stint on the show. However, before the inevitable war could spiral beyond control, the channel, Life OK, decided to axe the daily.
