Ankit Bathla, Mrunal Jain, Digangana Suryavanshi, Shakti Arora and Vishal Singh, who are shooting for an Indonesian TV series in Jakarta, had a narrow escape when suicide bombers struck the capital city on Wednesday night killing three and injuring 10. The actors were in the vicinity of the twin blasts site. Says Ankit, "The shoot had been packed up early, so we were heading out for dinner.
The roads were jammed and people were running helter-skelter. It was scary to see something like that unfold before our eyes. Soon after, we were flooded with calls and messages from our friends and family in Mumbai."
Telly actress Drashti Dhami, who landed the same evening of the blast, was also in shock. She was distressed to see the havoc that was unleased on the streets, but was thankful that they all escaped unhurt.
