The upcoming third season of 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon' has piqued the curiosity of fans as they excitedly wait to see television heartthrob Barun Sobti on the small screen again. Many of them are, however, upset that his co-star Sanaya Irani is not part of his re-collaboration with Four Lion Films' Gul Khan and Gorky M.
Sanaya, who played Khushi Kumari Gupta on the show, is now participating in 'Nach Baliye', claims she is thrilled about the new season and not heartbroken about not being part of it. "It's a big deal for a show to be getting a season 3. All these years, sequels have been well received, but with Iss Pyaar... 3, it will be different. I am looking forward to what the story will be this time."
She adds that the concept of an angry young man paired with a bubbly, outgoing girl connected with the TV audience. "I am still remembered as Khushi. If your characters are remembered way after your show ends, it means you are doing the right thing," says Sanaya.
The actress adds Barun, who played Arnav Singh Raizada, is one of her favourite co-stars. Early last year, the duo reprised their roles as Arnav and Khushi for a web series. So, she feels her return would have done injustice to the new story. "Some characters are best when their story is written off with time because then they are remembered for a longer time. If repeated, they lose their charm," she signs off.
