Rumours were abuzz that stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma's show 'The Kapil Sharma Show' is going off air following the dismal TRPs. Now, according to reports, the show will get another season with a new look.
A source from Kapil Sharma's team told DNA, "The current format has run its course. Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar's departure and Bharati Singh and Chandan Prabhakar's re-entry are not the issue. We've realised that the entire show needs a revamp."
The report further states that 'The Kapil Sharma Show' will be back for its second season with a new look, feel and format. Apparently, not as many Bollywood stars would be invited to promote their films on the show.
The source told the newspaper that Sunil Grover is not being considered for the show's return. The source was quoted as saying, "He (Sunil Grover) is welcome if he wants to return, but no one is sending out feelers to him; least of all Kapil."
The reports also said how Kapil Sharma's film 'Firang' has been neglected because of his focus on 'The Kapil Sharma Show'.
A source told DNA, "He spends close to six hours recording for The Kapil Sharma Show and then tries to shoot for his film, Firang. The film is not going anywhere. It is a deadweight."
