Actor Gurmeet Choudhary became a household name with his portrayal of Lord Ram in the TV show Ramayan that aired in 2008. However, that is not the only connection that the actor has with the name Ram. The actor`s father`s name is Sitaram and his wife, actor Debina Bonnerjee`s mum`s name is Shabri. The village he was born in is Jairampur. Gurmeet Choudhary got married to his `Ramayan` co-star Debina Bonnerjee who played the role of Sita on the TV show.

Meanwhile, as the country gears up for the Ram Mandir inauguration on Monday in Ayodhya, the actor expressed his joy in seeing the city readying itself for the celebration. "I go for physical training at 4.30 am daily. On the way. I see so many posters of Ram ji. I think this is the kind of celebration that must have happened when he returned to Ayodhya back in the day.
