‘Jalebi’ actress Digangana shares her memories of Lohri with mid-day.com

She says, “I eat a lot of sweets and like to attend Lohri celebrations with my Punjabi friends but we haven't been able to do that because of the Covid. I'm just hoping that this time I would be able to do some catching up. One of my best memories on set was where we had a sequence of Lohri we ended up celebrating it for real. We ate popcorn, put peanuts in the fire, it's just a nice vibe with everyone dancing. Initially, I use to think it's a bonfire and I gravitated with the whole idea like how happy people looked and dancing in the circle around the bonfire so I think it's a fascination as a kid to see people enjoying and especially dancing . My mother has already made sweets for Lohri, and most of the time she is personally involved, it's not like that general cooking where she is just instructing. My mother believes festivals bring  the family together and I think  it’s in my genes as well. You should celebrate every festival as much as you can because it's about family spirit, it's about bringing people together.”
