Zee TV recently launched its reality show DID L`il Masters Season 5, with actress Sonali Bendre on the judges panel. Contestant Sagar Varpe had recently confessed that he has an unfulfilled wish of celebrating Gudi Padwa in a grand manner, so the actress organised an extravagant celebration of the festival on the sets. Sonali also gifted him new clothes and a couple of special gifts before they celebrated the Maharashtrian New Year together. 
  
As Sonali Bendre mentioned, "Festivals are key occasions to be spent with your family. Gudi Padwa is such a special occasion for all the Maharashtrians and so I knew it would be a lonely time for Sagar, I just wanted him to be able to celebrate the festival. While I cannot replace the joy of being with his family, I just wanted him to know he was not alone and be able to give him some good memories for Gudi Padwa this year."
  
Sagar also added, "Sonali Ma`am has been a mother figure to me here, and this was the very first time I celebrated Gudi Padwa in a grand manner with new clothes, gifts, and everything. I am really grateful to her for everything, and I will surely make her proud."
