Sreeram Chandra is one of the leading contestants of the current season of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa'. He is participating in the show along with choreographer Sonali Kar. The singer who is most popularly known for winning Indian Idol 4 has been a part of several reality shows over the years that have shaped him as an entertainer. The singer who has also acted in three films so far hopes to continue his journey as an actor and looks at 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa' as a platform to hone his dancing skills.

Talking about his experience of being a part of 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11', Sreeram said, "It is a whole different universe of dance. The whole experience has been amazing. I  always wanted to dance and dance has been an integral part of me for a long time. I am glad I finally got an opportunity to explore my dancing skills."

The competition on the show keeps getting tougher as the show approaches its finale. The contestants are not leaving any stone unturned in giving their best performances every week. Alongside Sreeram Chandra, the dancers who have made to the top 5 are Adrija Sinha, Dhanashree Verma, Shoaib Ibrahim, and Manisha Rani. Sreeram does not take his competitors lightly and considers them people with a good following on social media and great dancers. He believes that Jhalak has become all about voting now.

Having been a part of reality shows like Indian Idol, Bigg Boss Telugu and now 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', Sreeram feels that the format of reality show is pretty much the same apart from increased transparency. "I have been part of a lot of reality shows. The format is pretty much the same. It is real. Everything is a public review, everything is social media and everything is transparent. It is very difficult to sideline people. It is said that the mic and camera can't be bribed. People will support only those whom they like. So the pattern is the same but with social media it has become more transparent.

'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11' is being judged by Malaika Arora, Arshad Warsi and Farah Khan. The three judges, Sreeram shares, have only boosted his confidence with their guidance. "Every piece of advice from episodes 1 to 17, from our three judges has helped me become a better dancer and gave me the confidence that I dance well. A choreographer like Farah Khan complimenting me that my performance reminded her of Hrithik Roshan is a big thing".

Sreeram recalls his Michael Jackson-inspired dance moves on the song 'Kaali Kaali Aankhein’ as his toughest performance. This was his own personal tribute to the King of Pop which he pulled off with the aid of his choreographer Sonali Ker. "Michael Jackson was challenging for me. I grew up watching him and I never got a chance to perform his dance and I attempted the MJ style in the first episode where were getting marks," he shared.
