Telly actress Manisha Yadav, known for playing Salima Begum in Jodha Akbar, died on Friday, October 1. The cause of her death was a brain haemorrhage, as per reports. Her co-star Paridhi Sharma was shocked to hear this and she posted on her Instagram stories, “This news is so heartbreaking. RIP @manisha_mannu.” [sic]


Paridhi said in an interaction that she had lost touch with Manisha after their show went off air, but they communicated on their WhatsApp group called Mughals. 


Manisha Yadav left behind a son who turned one year old in July this year. She had taken to Twitter to pen a heartfelt note for him, that read, "Happy 1st Birthday my precious baby!!!My little boy you have been such a light in my life during a season of a hard year. I’m so blessed and thankful to be your mumma. I love you so much.”[sic] She often shared pictures and videos with her son on Instagram. In July, she had shared glimpses of his birthday party and wrote, “Happy happy birthday my baby… Sari khushiya tere naam (May all my happiness be yours).” [sic]
