His curt tone and interruptions during the reality game show drew widespread criticism online. A week after the backlash, he took to his Instagram handle to apologise for his behaviour.

As reported by India Today, following online criticism and trolling, a video shared by the Instagram handle ishit_bhatt_official showed Ishit extending a heartfelt apology. The clip also featured him requesting a photo with Amitabh Bachchan, who obliged. Alongside the video, he shared a note expressing regret for his behaviour on set.
