Erica, this year’s Valentine’s Day saw the release of your romantic song ‘Ishq Hua’. Can you tell us about the whole idea and what is so special about your latest album?
The album is about love. Love is the most beautiful emotion one could ever experience. Love in every kind of relationship makes it look and feel beautiful. Talking about this one, the makers of this album started their journey of creating music with a song they made to express their love for Dubai. Now they made a different song to express a different form of love.

Since it is Valentine's Day, when was the first time you realized/understood the significance/ importance of Valentine’s Day?
The term ‘Valentine’s Day’ itself gives jitters to a lot of people. But, for me, I’m still trying to understand the true meaning of it. What does Valentine’s Day mean? Does it mean it is only for two people in a romantic relationship or is it for everybody who understands the meaning of love? I am still figuring it out …
Who was your first Valentine? Please be honest… Honesty appreciated…
I would, in all honesty, want to answer this, but I don't remember who was my first Valentine! (smiles) But from whatever I remember you talking about romantically, I remember myself mostly being single on Valentine’s Day.
Do you think that the concept of Valentine’s Day has been misinterpreted?
Like I said earlier, I still don’t understand the concept of it. but sometimes yes, I do feel that people get too excited about this day and want to do things only for this day and forget the rest of the year.

Is Valentine's Day only about romance and love? Or can that day be celebrated for friendship as well?
The year would be nice to celebrate it with friends also, but then again for that, we have friendship day as well. The grass is always greener on the other side. We, single people always feel that this specific day is highly overrated whereas the moment we are in a relationship or the people who already are in one feel that it is highly romantic.
Which is the best book on Valentine’s day that you have read?
I am not someone who reads books too often, but when I do It’s more about spirituality.
Can you recall your most memorable Valentine’s Day?
Nope! That only means I haven't had one or one worth remembering.
What type of Valentine are you? Card-Roses types/ romantic poems types or the candlelight dinner types? Or is there anything besides these?
I would rather do a home-cooked meal where cooking is done by both and have my setup and space. I am more of a private person.
Has anyone rejected your Valentine’s Day proposal or have you rejected any Valentine’s Day proposal?
I am an introvert. I barely walk up to someone to have a normal conversation… let alone a Valentine’s proposal. (laughs)
If you had to choose a Bollywood celebrity as your Valentine, whom will you choose and why?
Hmmm. All the good ones are either taken or married.
If you had to choose a Hollywood celebrity as your Valentine, whom will you choose and why?
I have a few names!! Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Ryan Gosling, Ryan Reynolds.
It’s a given that you will have many admirers. In that case, have you ever received any card or gift from a secret admirer? If yes, what was it and what was your reaction to it?
I would love to receive that someday you know. Sometimes I find that creepy and also amusing.
In your opinion, is Valentine's Day the most romantic day of the year?
I guess so because it is a day celebrated all around the world.
What’s your idea of a perfect Valentine's Day date?
That's for me to know and you to guess.
Valentine’s Day is about love and Cupid. Have you ever played Cupid in anyone’s life?
Oh yeah! I used to play cupid quite often back in my college days.
Or has anyone played Cupid in your life?
None that I recall of.
