Malvi makes a new beginning

Malvi Malhotra, who played Pooja on Udaan, is shooting for her debut web series, Geisha. She is back on the set after a tragic incident, which left her scarred, but not scared. In October 2020, she was stabbed by a man, who she met on Facebook, for turning down his wedding proposal. “I had to go through a lot, so it’s rejuvenating to be back at work. I am lucky to have bagged the lead role. The incident taught me to be alert and cautious,” she says. Helmed by Raaj Khanna, Geisha also features Aman Verma and Tarun Khanna. Malhotra plays a small-town girl, who comes to Mumbai with acting aspirations, and is keen to make it in B-Town.
