After Shweta Tiwari released CCTV footage of estranged husband Abhinav Kolhi trying to forcibly get hold of their son Reyansh and allegedly assaulting them, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has now asked the Mumbai Police to intervene in the case. NCW’s chairperson Rekha Sharma has written to DGP Maharashtra asking to look into the matter immediately and take the required action.

They tweeted, "@NCWIndia is perturbed by this reported incident and has taken cognizance of the matter. Chairperson @sharmarekha has written to DGP Maharashtra asking to immediately to look into the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with the law. [sic]” Last week, Kohli had shared a video asking people to help him find Reyansh. The post came after Tiwari left for Cape Town for the shoot of the adventure show, Khatron Ke Khiladi. Kohli says he did not want her to take up the reality drama and leave their son alone. Tiwari claims he is staying with her folks.
Recently Ekta Kapoor has strongly condemned the physical assault seen in the video, shared by Shweta Tiwari on her Instagram handle. In the video, Abhinav is seen forcefully snatching away his child, Reyansh from Shweta. In another video, shared by the actress, one can see the little kid, all scared, supposedly by the incident. Shweta Tiwari wrote a long post on Instagram, along with the video, in defence to the allegations that Abhinav had made, earlier this week.

After this incident my child was scared for more than a month, he was so scared that he would not even sleep properly at Night! His hand hurt for more than 2 weeks. Even now he is scared of his papa coming home or meeting him. I can’t let my Child go Through this mental trauma.. I try my best to keep him calm and happy! But this Horrible Man makes sure my baby’s mental health goes back to Square one! If this is not Physical abuse then what is!!!!?? It is the CCTV footage of my society," wrote the actress.
