Mid-day.com’s ‘Celeb Rewind’ is a space where your favourite actors recall the things they miss most from their growing up years. Joining us today is actress Pooja Banerjee aka Rhea from 'Kumkum Bhagya' recalling memories from the ‘90s.

Pooja Banerjee: I miss so many things from the ‘90s, like travelling in a rickshaw with a truckload of people. When I shifted to Mumbai, I remember wondering –only 3 people sit in rickshaws here? During my school days in Nagpur, we had lost count, we were 17-18 kids in one rickshaw. I had the same rickshawalah for 14 years and he would also take us for picnics too. It used to be so safe and parents would allow us to go, nowadays parents won’t even allow kids to play next to their house, in the garden because it’s so scary. We didn’t even have phones back then but there was no lack of trust and coordination, we would be back home by 6 pm. Now even though we have mobile phones, parents are always stressed about where the kids are! I was always into swimming and used to come home at 11 pm but it was extremely safe.  We used to enjoy bicycle rides on the weekends, travel miles while having juice and nariyal pani on the way. We were given the freedom to do that and it used to be a luxury.
