Ruchi Malviya to play a social media influencer in Mukesh Jasoos

Ruchi Malviya, who was last seen in Bejoy Nambiar’s Flip and Ken Ghosh’s The Verdict, has bagged a lead role in the comic caper, Mukesh Jasoos. She plays a social media influencer in the Disney+Hotstar show, co-starring Rahul Bagga, Poonam Dhillon, Rajeshwari Sachdev and, Paritosh Tripathi. About her selection, she says, “It was a fairly long process, there were two rounds of auditions, one self-recorded and the other at Humaramovie’s [producer] office. I was told that they considered quite a few influencers as well as other actors. It feels nice to stand out in the crowd, especially for someone who has just started out.”
Talking about her role she said, "The character I play in this show is completely opposite of what I am in real life which made it more interesting for me to play it on screen. I play this girl who comes from a very humble background and is married to an extremely simple and down to earth man called Mukesh. She is a girl with big aspirations yet very innocent and vulnerable."
