Selena Gomez`s acting career was launched by the popular Disney show `Wizards Of Waverly Place` where she played the troublesome Alex Russo, the second of the three Russo siblings. David Henri essayed the role of her elder brother Justin Russo on the show. Now, the show is all set to geta  sequel.  Disney Branded Television has ordered a pilot for the follow-up, which is executive produced by original stars Selena Gomez and her small screen sibling David Henrie. While Gomez will be making a guest appearance in the pilot episode only, David Henrie is set to be a series regular as Justin Russo.  He is joined by new cast members Janice LeAnn Brown (Disney’s Just Roll with It), Alkaio Thiele (Call Me Kat), and Mimi Gianopulos (American Princess).

According to a report in Deadline, the sequel of `Wizards of Waverly Place` will pick up after a mysterious incident at WizTech where an adult Justin Russo has left his wizard powers behind, opting for a normal, human life with his wife and two sons. But he gets a surprise when a powerful young wizard in need of training shows up at his door. Justin must embrace his past to ensure the future of the Wizard World.
