In May 2020, mid-day had reported that director Prashant Nair had bowed out of the second season of `Made in Heaven` to develop a series on the Uphaar Cinema tragedy in Delhi (Busy working on Uphaar Cinema tragedy, May 7). A year on, the director has begun filming the drama — which will narrate the aftermath of the 1997 fire at the Delhi theatre that claimed 59 lives and injured over 100 people — at a set in Malad. Given the subject, a chunk of the series will be shot at Navrang Cinema in Andheri.
