After pulling off `The Gone Game` through a remote shoot last year, Shweta Tripathi delighted to film the second season on a set

Last year, The Gone Game had grabbed eyeballs as much for its taut plot as for pulling off the entire season through remote shooting. Now, the makers have shifted gears, with the second season of the Voot Select series being filmed at Trident Hotel in Bandra-Kurla Complex. The cast, including Sanjay Kapoor, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Harleen Sethi, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Arjun Mathur, began the bio-bubble shoot last week.
Remembering how director Abhishek Sengupta would monitor the first season’s filming over Zoom calls, Tripathi is glad to trade it for an on-location shoot. “As actors, we have been hungry to be in front of the camera. The first season was a unique set-up, where the director and DoP [director of photography] would be online over a Zoom call, and tell us the camera angles we should employ. My husband [Chaitanya Sharma] shot all my scenes. That season taught me the value of people who take care of everything so that we, actors, can act freely. This edition had to be on set because at the end of the day, filmmaking is a collaborative process. Actors feed off the energy of their co-stars,” she says.
