Sharadotsav: Bombay Durgabari Samiti
USP In its 86th year, this is Mumbai’s oldest puja pandal. What we love about this place is its quaint and homely atmosphere, and systematic arrangements. In the cultural programmes, don’t miss the Calcutta Choir.
At: Tejpal Hall, near August Kranti Maidan, Gowalia Tank, Kemps Corner.
Time: 9 am to 10 pm

The Bengal Club
USP One of Mumbai’s old pandals, The Bengal Club’s Puja turns 80, this year. Watch out for the walkway featuring the nine avatars of goddess Durga. This pandal is located next to the Ram Leela festivities held on the Shivaji Park grounds. Don’t miss the traditional dhunuchi dance, performed with dhakis (drummers), every evening. This puja also hosts stalls that sell food, clothes, accessories, books, Bengali films and music among other things.
At: Shivaji Park, Dadar (W).
Time: 8 am to 1 am

Lokhandwala Durgotsav
USP The glamour quotient, celebrity spotting and extravagant settings are the biggest draw at this pandal, popularly known as Abhijit’s Pujo as it’s organised by the music director. The pandal also sees performances by some of Bollywood’s biggest names.
At: Lokhandwala Garden, Lokhandwala Durga Puja Ground, Andheri(W).
Time: 8 am to 1 am

North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja Samiti
USP Held at Hotel Tulip Star, the high point (if you’re star struck kinds) is that celebrities like Rani Mukerji and Kajol might serve you their delicious afternoon bhog. This year, the theme is Madurai’s Meenakshi temple.
At: Hotel Tulip Star, VM Road, Juhu.
Time: 8 am to 1 am

Chembur Durga Puja Association
USP Started in 1954, this Pandal has interesting themes every year. This year, catch the artistic replica of Mumbai’s BMC building.

New Bombay Bengali Association Mumbai
