  Artist Purnendu Mandal completed his art education in Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata.


His paintings mainly focus on the urban landscape and life.


He works with oil and acrylic colours on canvas in an Impressionist style.

His twelfth solo art exhibition, a series titled Aesthetic Memories — A Journey Through Art, is seeped in nostalgia and brings the city alive as he portrays the old and modern Kolkata, apt impressions of monumental heritage as well as modern multi-story buildings.
