Emerge Music And Arts Festival
When: February 28, Bangalore and March 1, Gurgaon
Headlining Act: Alt-J and DJ Rudimental
If the buzz among the Indian fans of English Indie rock band Alt-J is anything to go by, Emerge Music And Arts Festival is likely to host quite a crowd in its debut. Considering the alternative music leanings of the fest, fans can expect innovative art on display as well. Watch out for London-based hang-drums player Daniel Waples presenting his unique act featuring multi-instrumentalist, The Petebox. Also, on the bill are Delhi-based fusion outfit Advaita for the Gurgaon leg and Bangalore rockers Parvaaz for their home city edition.

The Lost Party
When: March 6-8, Lavasa
Headlining Acts: Nucleya, Dualist Inquiry, AFFKT, Trilok Gurtu and others
If you still haven't been to a camping festival, The Lost Party — to be held over the Holi weekend — might be a great way to start out. Wake up every morning in the lap of the breathtaking Sahyadris amid the laid-back atmosphere at the campsite, called Eden. It will house round-the-clock tapris, bars, a games arena and food courts. The line-up features artistes across genres, so there's something for every kind of music lover. Among the fun activities on offer, there's Rent-a-pool — where people can rent an inflatable pool for 45 minutes for private parties with friends. Committing themselves to social responsibility, the organisers plan to donate all sold camping tents to the homeless post the fest, as well as make a contribution of safe drinking water equal to that sold over the three days, to the underprivileged.
