Sitar maestro Shujaat Khan will inaugurate the seminar. This will be followed by a panel discussion. “Sitar makers from Miraj, Delhi and Kolkata and several dealers from Mumbai will take stock of the sitar industry and address problems related to instrument-making.

Six young scholars from London, Canada, USA and India, studying different fields of music, will present their research. Representatives of the seven sitar gharanas will make presentations and perform.
