It’s only funny
If you are looking to do unwind this weekend, head to The J Spot as city-based stand-up comedian Sorabh Pant will attempt to make the audience laugh with his latest jokes in this one hour set. These will include stories of him playing Dr Kholkar on Pogo, losing and gaining weight, meeting a magician, old ladies on airplanes and several other interesting topics that he will never release online. Visitors are expected to wear a mask and maintain social distancing at all times.

Weekday laughs
Now that work has resumed for many people in the city and Mondays can be hectic, you deserve a good dose of laughter. City-based comedienne Prashasti Singh is performing a trial show to test her newest jokes in Bandra. The show has a limited capacity of 24 seats only and the audience is expected to follow Covid-19 protocol at all times.

Soulful singing

Classical evening
The National Centre for the Performing Arts resumed operations recently and is hosting the SOI Chamber Orchestra. Musicians will be performing works by Bartok, Tchaikovsky, and many more under the direction of concertmaster Adelina Hasani. While the former’s Romanian Folk Dances rank among his most famous compositions, Tchaikovsky is known for his classically elegant compositions, including Serenade for Strings.

Write to unwind
If you are into scribbling down your thoughts on a paper or a blank screen and haven’t been to able untangle your mind through the week, this late night writing workshop is the perfect deal for you. Organised by Tall Tales Mumbai’s writers’ circle, the workshop will help you cut through the noise, unblock your mind and write with an unhindered flow. Conducted by award-winning writer Akshay Gajria, attendees will be guided with the help of prompts. Participants will need to carry a notebook and pen, or a laptop or tablet to work on.

Canvas reflections
Immerse yourself in art by participating in this painting workshop organised by city-based Paintology. The workshop will be conducted by Virali Shah, who will provide a step-by-step guide to create ‘The Trek’ masterpiece on a 12” by 16” canvas. Participants need not have prior painting experience to attend the workshop. All painting materials will be provided at the venue and attendees can take their art home too.
