Dopamine is a drug that the body releases when one is high Dopamine is also the name of a song by Mumbaibased Alternative and Post Grunge group Blakc Through catchy choruses and heavy riffs the band has been wooing fans for a decade Now they will introduce a few unreleased tracks from their upcoming album The Consequence of Feeling at an unplugged gig tomorrowUnplugged challengeBlakcrsquos songs are heavy and border around Metalcore a genre that blends Metal with other sounds The music attracts moshing mdash a style of slamdancing But the band didnrsquot face much trouble rearranging them in the acoustic formatldquoBands who are into sounds like Thrash and Death may find it difficult to do unplugged versions but our songs have clean vocals We have melodies and choruses that can be sung along to That said we do have to make an effort to rearrange the songs We end up making multiple versions A groove played on a drum kit will sound entirely different when played on a cajonrdquo explains vocalist Shawn PereiraSongs for the nightThe album is set for a tentative release at the start of August but a handful of songs are already popular with fans ldquoDopamine is a crowd favourite and our wellwishers will expect a music video out of it once the album releases It has a heavy intro a bouncy chorus and a nice breakdown in the end It shows people what we are like as musiciansrdquo adds the 30yearoldDisorder one of the heavier songs surprisingly made it to the unplugged catalogue ldquoWe never thought it could be played on an acoustic guitar Reinhardt Dias our guitarist cooked a nice groove and the song fit into itrdquo says PereiraThe band will also be playing a few interesting covers ldquoWe are all hooked to this band called Nothing But Thieves So we thought of playing one of their songs known as Graveyard Whistling There will be songs from Nine Inch Nails and our trademark Pearl Jam cover Blackrdquo he revealsThe mixing and mastering process of the album is set to start and during this period Pereira plans to brainstorm on the album art and marketing plans ldquoSome vocal parts are still to be recorded but the bulk is complete It is a threeway process mdash writing recording and mixing and lastly deciding how to facilitate the growth of the albumrdquoOn March 15 9 pm onwardsAt Harryrsquos Pub 101 Juhu Tara Road JVPD Scheme Juhu Call 7506787211
