Ramesh Shinde’s personal library at Goregaon is a treasured wealth of Dr Ambedkar’s writings

'Shelf Life' is a series that explores the reading culture in Mumbai. This week, we look at Ramesh Tukaram Shinde’s personal library, consisting of rare writings by Dr BR Ambedkar. Collected over a period of 60 years, 88-year-old Shinde’s library has only expanded to be a treasured wealth of Ambedkar’s finest works of authorship on caste, religion and national affairs. From first editions of his books to original letters, documents and old photographs, the library is a treat to those intrigued by Ambedkar’s mention.
