A unique initiative by three Puneites has led to The West Pune's Summer Fest which will feature a flea market cum exhibition and will be hosted in the hitherto neglected western part of the city

Three friends, Jayesh Paranjape, Dhananjay Kulkarni and Reshma Kinera, have come together to create a flea market experience in the city. This flea market-cum-exhibition is slated to take place over the weekend and visitors can head to the shopping stalls and attend workshops.

Speaking about the summer fest, Paranjape says, “The concept behind this summer fest was to give the feeling of a flea market to the residents of this side of the city. While areas like Koregaon Park and Kalyani Nagar host such events regularly, locals from Kothrud, Bavdhan, Baner and Pashan are often left out. Being residents of these areas, we felt the need to have some activity in our area too. Thus, emerged the idea of this summer festival.”
