The Republic Day parade that took place on Sunday at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, was a celebration of India’s culture, development and military prowess. Like every year, the tableaux of different states/union territories and ministries were an important part of the event. Sixteen states/union territories displayed their culture through these tableaux. Here are some glimpses.

Goa`s tableau celebrated the state`s pristine beaches and cultural heritage with depictions of Divja festival and Kaavi art.

This tableau depicted the state`s art forms and natural beauty, with special emphasis on adventure tourism.

Haryana`s tableau paid tribute to Bhagawad Gita, in addition to showcasing the state`s progress in different sectors.
