Dear Diana,
I have been with my live-in girlfriend for over a year. Things were fine between us till she met this new guy at her workplace. I was aware that she was friendly with him and would hang out with him after work, but I did not know the extent to which she would go with him. While travelling for work, I happened to arrive earlier than my scheduled date. When I entered our house, I was shocked to see my girl with him in bed. I just walked off from the scene and went and sat at a park nearby. She came running behind me and started to cry. Not wanting to create a scene on the road, we went home. The guy had disappeared from the scene. My girlfriend kept sobbing and asked for forgiveness. She told me that she had invited him over for a meal and one thing led to another. She begged for forgiveness. What should I do? Should I forgive her?

Dear Dhiren,
Your girlfriend has erred, and you will be a fool to take her back. This guy is her office colleague, so what will stop her from meeting him? She might just go astray again. If you give her a second chance, it is like encouraging her to do it again. She knows you will take her back. Your girl has cheated on you and has no respect for your love or relationship. You surely deserve better. At the same time, if you are large-hearted, and want to forgive her, it is your call. But before you take a decision, you need to have a good, long talk with her. She needs to realise that any other guy would have dumped her. She also has to realise that what she has done is wrong. What if you had done similar? Would she have accepted you then? So think twice before forgiving her.
