Dear Diana
Dear Diana,
I got married in September last year. One of my husband's pals has been calling me regularly for the past three months. It is clear that he is looking at something more than just conversations with me. Initially, as he was my hubby's buddy and would often drop in at home, I was extremely cordial with him. Perhaps he mistook my friendliness for something else. He is a divorcee. He often hangs out with us on weekends. But now I feel he is attracted to me. He even wants to meet me alone. My husband has no clue about what is happening. A few days ago, we went to a party. He was also present at the bash. At about 2 am, I got a text message from him saying, “I need to talk to you.” I did not respond. He then sent me a message saying that he keeps thinking about me. He also told me he is drunk so not to read too much into the message. I don't know what to do. If I tell my husband, it will surely create a rift between them.

Dear Sonam,
Your husband needs to know what is going on. Do not waste any further time in telling him what his pal is doing behind his back. Also, why have you kept mum all this while? Your silence means that you are in compliance with the situation. This guy may have fallen for you, but he should realise that you are married — and that too to his best buddy. Sooner or later, things could take an ugly turn if your husband finds out what is going on. How your hubby deals with the situation is his concern. You should not be too bothered about what will happen to their friendship, it is his buddy who has ruined it and he has to pay the price for it.
