Dear Diana,
I met this girl at a New Year's eve party. We were celebrating at an amusement park. She was with her bunch of pals and I was with my family. As we happened to share a dining table, we got talking. My sister initiated a conversation with her and later we got talking. We did the countdown to the New Year and wished each other a prosperous and happy 2016. I am 27 and single. I have no clue how old she is, but she appeared to be in her mid-20s. She told my sister that she has just started working in a web desigining firm. As my sister is also into web designing, they exchanged numbers. Now my sister feels she is the girl for me. My family has been on the look out for a girl for me for a while now. They feel I should get married in a year's time. My sister thinks it was destined that we be at this amusement park and meet each other. As she has her phone number, she has been telling me to call her. I feel odd and have told my sister to call her first. Even though we were together for a few hours, I kind of like her. What should I do?

Dear Mayank,
First of all you have no clue if there is anyone on her front. What if she is seeing someone? Your sister might feel that it is divine intervention that has made you two meet. If she feels she facilitated the meeting, then she should call her first. You cannot call her just out of the blue, she might wonder what is wrong with you. As your sister and she share common work interests and took her phone number, she should call her under the guise of some help. She can then take it forward from there and gradually bring you in the picture. So right now do not build any castles in the air. As your sister tries to make a headway, keep your options open. You never know where and when you will find someone interesting.
