Sidd says, be regular

As a model being fit is very important. I do not have the luxury of not being in shape. Being fit and in shape comes from being disciplined too. It is important to be consistent with your workout schedule. I work out at least three to four times a week for minimum 45 minutes. A full workout, however, takes around two hours. In this season I eat everything but the point to remember is that I have to train even harder after that.

Space it out like Alesia

Being fit is a part of my lifestyle. Every day, I devote some hours to workouts whether I am travelling or at home. But because we models keep travelling a lot, we do not always have the luxury of space to exercise. But thanks to my trainer I have learned to use minimal space for maximum output. So, in fact, all you need is a few square feet of space and be it hunches, sit ups or more complex training, you can do a lot. In the coming year my fitness goal is to get more toned.

Do something today your future self will thank you for. Don’t go after a fitness routine only because it is the latest fad.  I’ve been setting my own fitness regimen for the longest time. I would say go with what works best for your body, drink lots of water and eat healthy.

Gul Panag considers running the best way to be healthy and look good

A fitness schedule doesn’t have to be complicated. I have always maintained that running is one of the fastest and easiest ways of staying fit. A half-an-hour run will burn roughly 300 calories, improve your cardiovascular fitness and strengthen your muscles remarkably. I love running and it’s definitely something that I fall back on in case I have no time for my full fitness regime.

Festive season or not, fitness should be a constant. In some form or the other I make sure I workout. Thanks to my personal trainer and the variety he brings to my workout, I enjoy going to the gym. It’s always a mix of cardio, weights, functional tyre workout and more. During this season we all indulge in unhealthy food that surrounds us, and we do owe ourselves a bit of it. The smart thing is to keep a check. As long as you are not losing yourself in the sweetness, it’s all good.

It’s all about lifestyle for Yasmin

Fitness to me is about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. It’s something that should be a part of your life, and come naturally. I believe in having a holistic approach — eat healthy, exercise daily, maintain a stable schedule and always take some time out to de-stress. With a busy schedule around the time of festivities you may not have the time for a full fitness routine unlike on a regular day; however, what’s most important is to not slack off. You can go for a quick brisk walk – I’ve set a target to complete 10,000 steps a day. Walking is something that you don’t need to go out of your way to incorporate into your schedule. Take the stairs instead of the lift, skip the taxi ride for shorter distances, walk around your house; don’t give into the temptation of making an excuse and ditching exercising.
