Artist Ajay Deshpande's figurative style is clearly seen in his paintings of the goat. Deshpande said that the idea of incorporating the goat in his painting came when he observed the animal's features and found it fascinating.
"People, nowadays, are aware and therefore they just don't look at the painting. Instead they try to see and understand the artist's vision behind the painting."
Another artist who has incorporated animal motifs in his paintings is Dinkar Jadhav. Dinkar chose to paint the horse on canvas. When quizzed about his inspiration, he said, "It's an energetic horse which represents a contemporary style of art.
