Subroto Bagchi, who calls himselfu00a0 "the gardener of human talent" and founder of Mindtree, began the session by putting in perspective the nine different kinds of intelligences and how they can be used to build five minds of future.
He said this century will be about right-brain thinking.u00a0 His erudition was followed by a passionate speech by environmentalist Ullas Karanth on why we should value nature.
"Since Indian is coming to the development party nearly 200 years late, we have the advantage of looking at things in the rearview mirror," said Nandan Nilekani, one of the founders of Infosys Technologies and author of Imagining India.
The other speakers included Narayana Reddy, Hasnath Mansur, Dr Newton Kondaveti and Janet Bray Attwood. Journalist Shobha Narayan moderated the show.
