Lekhak is a four-session interactive TV scriptwriting workshop where participants will be trained in key aspects required to write teleplays. It will include fundamentals from how the concept of a story develops to writing a scene with dialogues for a teleplay. The workshop will include screening of award-winning TV serials that showcases the virtues of strong writing for television.

Also part of the four-day sessions will be talks by guest speakers including scriptwriters from popular TV shows. This apart, the workshop will focus on the need to safeguard intellectual property and will include factors that govern the TV writing profession.
The workshop will organise a writing competition where the first two winners will be sponsored for two months, as assistant writers at a TV serial production house or with writers on some important serials. Winners will also be paid a nominal monthly stipend for the internship period. Finally, every participant will also be issued a certificate for their participation and the training received at the four-day workshop that will be spread across two weekends.
