To mark its third anniversary, project space the Loft, is hosting a night of art, film and food

Starting out as a fledgling experimental space for amateur artists, The Loft, situated in Lower Parel, has become a culture mill for expression. Periodically, artists and performance artists hold a host of exhibitions, workshops, film screenings and even culinary classes. To salute the best of the city, Anupa Mehta, the owner of The Loft, is organising an open-for-all evening saluting film, art and food in association with French bistro, Chez Vous.

Called The Five Senses, The Loft will see the best of Indian and French art come together.
Abstract artists Sukanya Ghosh and Parisian Agathe de Bailliencourt will be putting up their exhibits of black and white abstract drawings. While one explores voyeurism, the other makes a mention to human anatomy.
"The drawings in this series, is focused on the notion of loss. Arteries, apart from their obvious life-giving functions are synonymous with routes and passages. I evoke loss through the different pathsu00a0-- paths which take us from mere scribbles of incidental poetry to drawings of the mundane." said Ghosh.
The Loft will also help curate a food-as-art experience. The chefs of Chez Vous will be putting together a delectable and appealing assortment of some of their best dishesu00a0-- Ravioles de Roquefort, L'aumoni re de poulet, Le crabe farci and La tarte au fruit, which will be presented as a food installation and can be tasted by all. Each dish will come along with a short text putting in perspective their style, the textures and the purpose.
