The event is being hosted as part of Eristoff Wolf Night. Says DJ Kris Correya, “Pune is like our second home. The food is brilliant, the vibe is chilled out and laid back. The music scene is picking up nicely. The drive to Pune is even better. We have played some great shows in the past and we love the place. One of the highlights of our career was performing as the headlining act at the Eristoff Wolves Den Stage on Day 2 of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender where we smashed it in front of 500 people.”
Some of DJ Sohail Arora’s favorite songs include Marka by Dub Phizix, Give and Take by Netsky and Bombaclaad Star by Liquid Stranger and his current favourite Electronic music acts are Rockwell, Nymfo, Dub Phizix, Calibre, Engine-Earz, Opiuo, Spoonbill, Tycho and Pretty Lights.
BBC was formed in response to the abundance of standard-issue electronica so often churned out in clubs and bars across the country. The group aims to explore a new musical territory while dabbling in styles ranging from Breaks to Drum ‘n’ Bass, and Glitch Hop to Dubstep, with a partiality to basslines and high voltage grooves that are infectious and supremely funky.
BBC has toured with some of the biggest international names in the electronic and bass music circuit including artists like The Prodigy, LTJ Bukem, Klute, Nymfo, Concord Dawn, DJ Marky, Jazzsteppa, Asian Dub Foundation, TC1, Bother Culture, Dub FX and Pendulum. They are also scheduled to play at Outlook Festival in Croatia to be held in August 2012. Outlook Festival is Europe’s largest bass music and sound system culture festival. They will be the first Indian artist to take on the stage at this festival.
