If your work comprises eight hours of desk job, you are so in need of some exercises to boost your energy levels and to prevent you from feeling stiff. Here are some that you can try while at your workstation:
>> Neck: To stretch your neck, slowly flex your head forward/backward, side to side and look right and left. You can repeat this after every hour.
>>u00a0Eyes: Place the index finger on the eyebrow and the middle finger lightly on the eyelid. In a slow circular motion, gently massage the eyeball and eye socket. Be careful to place no pressure on the eyeball, and if you use contact lenses, only massage the eye socket.
>>u00a0Shoulders: Roll your shoulders forward around 10 times, then backward. This helps release the tension off your shoulders.
>>u00a0Legs: Head to the rest room and do a football-like drill of running in place for 60 seconds. Get those knees up. Beginners can march in place.
>>u00a0Wrists: If you spend a lot of time typing, roll your wrists regularly, around every hour or so. Roll the them10 times clockwise, then 10 times anti-clockwise.
>>u00a0Abdomen: Contract your abdominal and gluteal muscles; hold them there for a few seconds, then release. Repeat this for every few minutes all day long while you are working at your desk.
