Ecommerce site Flipkart has managed to sell a record breaking 50,000 units of Lenovo K6 Power smartphone in less than an hour on the opening day of its sale. Lenovo K6 Power was launched in India last week at a pocket friendly price of Rs 9,999.

The smartphone then went for a sale on Flipkart on December 6 at 12 pm. Flipkart stated that after the sale went live, over 1000 units of the phone were sold off in every minute and later the models went out of stock. Lenovo announced that the next sale of K6 Power is scheduled for December 13 on Flipkart.

The K6 Power smartphone is Lenovo’s budget innovation and gives a tough competition to other popular ones like Xiaomi Redmi 3s Prime, Coolpad Note 3 Plus to name a few. At a price of Rs 9,999, the Lenovo smartphone is found to be one of the best buys. The company claimed that more than 1.3 million unique customers have visited K6’s page and nearly half a million customers showed interest for the phone even before the sale.
