Mickey goes to the Oscar Awards
Earlier in 2013, Disney released its first short animation film featuring Mickey Mouse after a gap of 13 thirteen years. The film titled Get A Horse!, sees the comeback of several of classic Disney characters including Minnie Mouse, Horace Horsecollar, Peg-Leg Pete and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit among others and is currently among the top finalists for the Academy Awards 2014 in the Short Animation film category. Directed by Lauren MacMullan of The Simpsons fame, the animation and characters closely resemble the 1928 style of Mickey Mouse, combined with modern 3D animation, and features edited voice tracks of Walt Disney himself. The film will premiere in theatres along with Disney’s upcoming animation film Frozen releasing in the US by the end of November.u00a0
