Cheese and Garlic Roll at Forennte
Forennte is known for their cupcakes, brownies and all things chocolate. But we accidentally discovered that they do interesting types of bread as well. We loved their French Baguetteu00a0(Rs 65) which stood tall and stately and cut perfectly at the touch of our knife. But it was their bread rolls that took us by surprise. The Cheese and Garlic Roll (Rs 60) had the perfect melting cheese filling with a crisp exterior and looked like a muffin sitting pretty. The Chicken Rolled Loaf (Rs 110) looked deceptively like the regular bread loaf but once we cut a slice, we could spot rolls of salami and cheese inside. It reminded us of a Strawberry Swiss roll. It tasted nice but was nothing spectacular. However it does make for a pretty platter for the guests.

Garlic bread sticks at Sugardough
With a few outlets sprinkled around the city, Sugardough offers a variety of breads. Among the ones we tried, we really enjoyed the Garlic Bread Sticks (Rs 45). It's your regular garlic bread sliced into vertical sticks and goes well with soups and salads. It can be used to make garlic croutons and quick bruschettas as well as other innovative snacks. We also liked the Spinach Loaf (Rs 30). This is your value-for-money bread place.u00a0

Olive Focaccia at Tertullia
This quaint bakery with its kitsch ambience is a fun place to head to. Order some coffee and indulge in their variety of breads. We recommend their preserves and muffins which will fill you with childlike glee. We tried the Olive Focaccia (Rs 45), which was so soft that it kept crumbling in our fingers. Our Brown Bread Bun (Rs 30) was delicious and we recommend it for homemade burgers on late Sunday evenings.

Zoff at Pune Baking Company
The Pune Baking Company (PBC) is renowned for their bakes. They offer varied good quality baked products. We loved the hard-shelled Zoff (Rs 50), which is a lovely rustic round bread with a hard-but-delicious shell. We also tried the Olive Ciabata (Rs 120), a fresh loaf that tasted like heaven when toasted and freshly buttered.u00a0
