Guilt trip of the quirky kinds

Organic T-shirts and peanut butter, ornate mirrors, hand-painted coasters and positive-vibe chocolates await you at the Art Bazaar this Sunday

We suggest that chronic shopaholics of Linking Road take a break from the usual and head towards the Art Bazaar at Zenzi instead. Initiated by Bhavya Arora and her colleague, Art Bazaar aims to create a platform for creative minds to showcase their ideas. This is their first exhibition and on display will be accessories, paintings, T-shirts, saris, cakes, cookies, chocolates and other things that guarantee an amazingu00a0 shopping experience.

The brands on sale include ArtnLight's decoupage trays (Rs 1,200 to Rs 1,600), boxes (Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500),
mirrors (Rs 1,750), stand-alone alphabet pieces (Rs 750-1000) and coasters (Rs 600). We especially loved her Rockstar mirror (Rs 5,000) and the trays from the Bombay series.

If you want to shop without guilt, splurge on No Nasties' tees which are made from organic cotton and support various social causes (Rs 999). Leenata Shah and Anjali Sharma are displaying their paintings while saris by Meena Arora are also on sale. If handmade and desi wares interest you, check out Neha Gandhi's products from her brand Matsya.

The exhibition will feature debutantes such as advertising professional-turned-photographer Payal Kumar. Titled All Things Nice, Kumar's products include trays, coasters, clocks, mouse pads and table mats printed with quotes and images of nature and abstracts (Rs 750 to Rs 1,500).

If all the shopping makes you hungry, visit Jigisha Popat's chocolate stall (Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per kg) and ensure that you gorge on her blueberry and orange chocolates. If you are in an experimental mode, bite into her paan-flavoured chocolates. Popat, who is a professional healer, claims she fills her chocolates with positive energy, which she says makes them tastier.

Do a round of grocery shopping with all-organic and homemade peanut butter (Rs 195 for 250 gm) and mustard (Rs 140 for 100 gm) by Megha Goyal's brand i2cook.

On: July 24, 4 pm to 1 am
At: Zenzi, Bandra (W).
