Go outdoors
Monsoon is the best season to go for outdoor activities like trekking, hiking and walking. No exercise can replace a regular schedule of walking. Take a jog or a brisk walk of 30-45 minutes every day. Do not let the rains ruin your schedule. This walk will help you in shedding those extra calories and stay fit even in bad climate.
Yoga is highly helpful in any season. It is normal to feel a little dull during the damp weather but you can always feel energised with the help of a few Suryanamaskars in the morning along with some Pranayam and few more asanas to achieve optimum level of fitness.
Sanyogita Ramanan, fitness expert, Gold’s Gym, says, “Post monsoon is the ideal season to start routines like cycling and jogging. Give preference to cardio for three days and weight training for the remaining three days. Take part in group activities.
Turn on the music and start spinning. Such exercises for at least 45-60 minutes a day will help you attain your desired fitness levels.” She also adds that people who intend to lose weight should not go for crash diets and intense exercises. Doing your exercises with the right posture and wearing the right kind of clothes and shoes is also important, she feels.
Eat right
Eating right is extremely important when it comes to keeping healthy. Drink lots of water to keep the digestive system active. Strictly avoid oily and street food. u00a0
