Furniture design shop, Fusion Access, is launching their latest collection of mango wood furniture, which is known for its durability

While teak and oak wood may be more popular options for furniture, mango wood is actually a better option believe the designers at Fusion Access.

The latest collection to be unveiled at their shop range from the contemporary groove collection which features clean lines and straight edges; an industrial collection featuring metal with a distressed finish to look like rust and the Pasha outdoor collection of day beds, benches and dining tables for your verandah. There are also stand-alone pieces such as the Tenerife dining table, contemporary sofas and Valley Viva dining sets.

This particular variety of wood is known to be a sustainable option as it grows fast and is cut down to manufacture furniture only once it stops giving fruits. It also lends itself well to a unique finish as it can be given a variety of hues. Last but not the least, it is known for its durability and lasts longer than the other varieties of wood.

The ultimate clincher: according to an ancient legend, Lord Buddha was gifted a grove of mango trees where he could rest and while resting in its shade he had praised its longevity. Need we say more?
