Talent Hatz Entertainment is conducting a workshop titled Striking the right pose for aspiring models in the city
A picture says a thousand words, and helping aspiring models with their photoshoots and portfolios is celebrity and fashion photographer Vivek Tickoo. The day-long interactive session, to be held this Saturday has been organised by Talent Hatz Entertainment.
"Pune has a lot of potential. Being a major education hub, we have several new models coming from these institutes," shares Tickoo. According to him, many aspiring models lose out on projects due to lack of professional help. "In this workshop, we will help them understand the importance of having a good portfolio and also how to create one," he adds.
Step up and pose
The workshop will begin with basic steps on how to strike the right pose. "At times, models find it difficult to pose in front of a camera, while there are some who just don't know how to pose. We are going to help them shed their inhibitions," shares Tickoo. The session will focus on understanding one's features, body language, body posture, being comfortable in what you wear and giving the perfect expression.u00a0u00a0
Understand your posture
Expressions, body language, body posture and attitude need to be perfect to get the right pose. The model's posture will define the way the picture looks. Participants need to carry formal wear, casual wear and Indian wear for the workshop. Tickoo feels that models should be able to carry themselves really well, so that it will reflect in the pictures. "Photographs will be taken before and after the workshop, for al the participants to see how much they have been groomed. We want to give them an idea of the field before they step into the world of fashion," states Tickoo.

What Model Alesia Raut says
The best way to get your pose and expression right is to practice it in front of the mirror. To be a model one needs to be a trendsetter, not a follower. Your average height needs to be 5 feet 7 inches and also you need to have a toned body. It is very important for you to take care of your skin and hair. Don't be nervous and think of something that soothes you. When one goes for a shoot, you should make it a point to understand the subject for the shoot and stick to the brief. Love the camera and try and flirt with it.
