Last week, at Melbourne Park in Australia, over 1,200 people gyrated to Munni Badnaam Hui for three minutes, setting the Guinness World Record for the largest Bollywood class choreographed on a Bollywood song. This Saturday, celebrity choreographer Terence Lewis hopes to break this record.
And you can help him do that.Dress up in your Indian traditional best and head to Bandra this Saturday afternoon where Terence and his assistants will teach you how to shake to a desi number. "It doesn't matter if you've danced before or not. My philosophy is ABCD: Any Body Can Dance," says Terence, who hopes that at least 1,500 people will show up. Terence and his instructors will be teaching you the dance for an hour, after which the massive bunch will perform the (hopefully) record-breaking jig. Post this, you can take home a tee, a certificate, an autographed photograph and the chance to brag about being part of a world record that was shot on live television.

puppetry day today. A traditional puppet show will be conducted by Ganpat Mhasge and a modern one about Bhim and Hanuman will be conduced by Meena Nair. Along with being entertained by the puppets, kids will discover Indian mythology and its fascinating anecdotes. The puppet shows will be followed by a children's play by Salaam Bombay Creative Academy -- your ticket to having a fun-filled day in which your kid doesn't feel left behind.
Tweet tweet! Three chirps for the sparrow
On Sunday
No, this is not your regular World Hug-everyone-kiss-everyone sort of a day. World Sparrow Day, which falls on March 20, is relevant in these times and what better time than now to do our bit to protect this endangered species. Sparrows, who were a common feature of our city's skies are rapidly on the decline due to various reasons. There are quite a few things we could pledge to do on this special day to save our friends. You could keep a sparrow feeder with grains for the birds to feed on. Sparrows like to feed on kitchen scraps and seeds. You could also leave a fresh bowl of water for them. Leave the food and water at the same place at the same time everyday. More enthusiastic bird lovers can get nest boxes made of recycled wood. Use your Facebook or Twitter to tweet about these tweet-ers. If you have a park around your home, plant hedges in it and place a bowl of grains every day for them. Or form a sparrow club with your friends and spread awareness about the little birds. Now isn't that tweet?

For the first time NCPA is hosting a Gujarati theatre festival. Vasant, the three-day festival promises to bring some of the best Gujarati plays to Mumbai. Apart from plays, poetry readings and discussions will also be held during the festival. The five plays to be staged are very different from each other and are based on diverse topics. According to NCPA chairman Khushroo Suntook, "Gujarati theatre has been a significant contributor to the cultural landscape of Mumbai and through Vasant, we want to enrich it further. Vasant will contribute to bringing vibrancy to the Gujarati theatre scenario." The festival, which will be held every year, will focus on plays with offbeat subjects and genres. NCPA has in the past also organised a Marathi theatre festival called Pratibimb. The five plays to be staged in this festival include Vishwamanvi: Umashankar Joshi, Sutarfeni, Apurva Avsar, Bhabhu Retire Thai Chhe and Koi Bheethe Thi Aayna Uttaro.
