More than what it looks
It’s true that we have a taste for opulent-looking tech, but we’re setting aside our flashy tendencies here, as the Philips Health Watch is more than just a slice of smart wrist-candy.
Self-monitors
The Health Watch is part of an ecosystem of Philips health products that are designed to monitor your cardio health, blood pressure and body temperature, and to purify the air you breathe. This unassuming watch, made with a soft TPU strap (available in two sizes), focuses on the first of those.
Connect to your heart
Well, the splash and sweat-proof Health Watch utilises an accelerometer and an optical heart-rate sensor to continuously track your heart rate and other metrics of your cardio ‘state’. Sync the watch with the Philips HealthSuite app (Android and iOS) to see your data in detail, or view streamlined stats directly on the watch.
Tracking each step
The Health Watch will automatically track your walking, running and cycling activity, as well as logging how long you’ve been sitting. It also monitors your slumber, tracking sleep time and efficiency (how long you spend in bed versus how much sleep you’re actually getting).
