George Bernard Shaw's works have long been adapted on stage and on screen.

His hard-hitting satirical plays have been known to laugh at the follies of its audience (Pygmalion) and all the convoluted workings of society.

Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah in Dear Liar

While Shaw’s professional works have always been applauded, here is a play that presents a part of his personal life on stage rather than his works.

Dear Liar, a comedy that adapts letters written by Shaw and Stella Patrick Campbell, an actress, recreates their long love affair through the letters.

What makes this Motley production a must-watch is that it brings Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak Shah back on stage after two years in the city. More of an improvised act, the play was then directed by another theatre great, Satyadev Dubey.
